Download and Install

To download the correct version of Pulse Secure, you must know if you are running a 32-bit or 64-bit version of Windows. Go to Start and choose Control Panel. Once in the control panel, click System and Security, then choose System (if your Control Panel view is by Category), or choose System (if your Control Panel view is all settings). In the middle of the resulting screen in the System section, find your system type.
Go to the ECS download page, which requires you to login with your HawkID and password. Select the file PulseSecure-win32.exe for 32-bit machines, or PulseSecure-win64.msi for 64-bit machines. When prompted, choose Run and click Allow whenever you are prompted with that choice.            


Launch Pulse Secure application. It will open a small window.

Click the (+) button to add a new connection. It will bring up another small window. Pick name of your choice and type in in the Server URL box.

Click connect. Then on the next window put in your credential. Also, for security purposes, there will be another window pops up asking for secondary password. Please type in authentication method of your choice.

Example: type in 1 or push for push authentication. If you’re phone is not registered for duo, please click  to enroll in duo or talk to the consultant at the Engineering Help Desk, 1256 SC, 319-335-5055 for more assistance.  

Sign out

When you are done with your session and have closed any active shares, RDP sessions, etc., click the disconnect button. If you do not have a Pulse Secure application running, run the application and click disconnect.
